Russian Asset Tracker Webinar: Journalists share insights on investigating the hidden wealth of oligarchs

OCCRP and Guardian journalists will share insights and answer questions about their Russian Asset Tracker project in a live webinar.

Russia’s invasion of Ukraine has shifted the international spotlight onto the enormous wealth of Russian oligarchs and other enablers of Vladimir Putin’s regime — a group of people OCCRP has been investigating for years.

So, OCCRP, the Guardian, and 25 other media outlets started to hunt down the yachts, mansions, planes, bank accounts, and other lucrative assets of Vladimir Putin enablers. Their findings can be found in Russian Asset Tracker, the most comprehensive database of its kind.

You can learn more about how we designed and executed this massive project in a virtual event on April 1, 2022 at 11 a.m. EDT/4 p.m. BST.

At publication, Russian Asset Tracker listed nearly $17.5 billion worth of assets, some of which were revealed publicly for the first time. OCCRP and our partners are continuing to identify and fact-check many, many more that will be added to the tracker in the coming weeks.

This webinar is perfect for anyone interested in investigative journalism or how oligarchs use opaque corporate structures and proxies to dodge sanctions.
